Dr. Levinson studied at the University of Miami, where he received both his Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology and his Medical Doctorate. While there he chaired and created an alternative medicine conference in 1993 that was part of the medical school’s curriculum for both students and professors. After his training, he went on to establish Vitality Health & Wellness in 2000 and pursued academia as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at FIU College of Medicine.
Beyond his comprehensive background in Western and Alternative medicine and psychiatry, Dr. Levinson is also a yoga expert and mindfulness teacher who has ardently pursued eastern practices and studied extensively with indigenous healers. The result is the artful marriage of age old principles with modern science which makes his practice so special and effective.
This holistic and dynamic core is integrated with patient-centered care that is both individualized and collaborative. Dr. Levinson’s modern and mutualistic approach has him at the forefront of conversations around traditionally undiagnosable and difficult to manage cases.
In addition to the practice of medicine, Dr. Levinson is a passionate educator of patients and clinicians, an internationally recognized speaker and a formulator of breakthrough nutriceuticals and cannabinoid-based medicinals.

Driven by Dr. Levinson’s passion for nature and his belief that insults to the planet have a downstream effect on the health of her inhabitants, Vitality Health & Wellness is strongly invested in sustainability and the elimination of environmental toxins as part of our community responsibility. We have been a paperless office since opening in 2000. Our flagship clinic is solar powered and we are proud to have been the first commercial building in Miami Beach to have installed solar to manage our energy needs. Built with Dade-County Pine reclaimed from our original roof, non-toxic building materials and from local sources wherever possible — our xeriscaped clinic is completely “green.”
